The Penticton Harlequins rugby club is hosting its Sunfest tournament at McNicoll Park this weekend.
All the action starts with the Gibsons Pigs taking on Enderby at 9 a.m. These two are among six teams [East Van Scribes, Prince George Rustlers, Vernon Jackals and one surprise] along with three ladies teams [Ridgedale from North Vancouver, Williams Lake and Kelowna] participating. Games are played until 4 p.m. On Sunday, action hits the field again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. While the Harlequins won’t be playing in the tournament, they will play a league match Sunday at 1 p.m. as they host West Kelowna.
The Sunfest festivities will include a dinner and dance at Kings Park for $15 on Saturday and there will be a beverage gardens.
