Last week was another hot one on the Alberni Golf Course for the ladies golfing leagues.
In the low handicap group of the nine-hole ladies, Jani Denis won low gross, Tineke Rogers won low net as well as having the lowest putts.
In the high handicap group there was a tie for low gross between Lois Robinson and Pat Dahlquist, Louise Berlinski won low net and Lois Robinson had the lowest putts.
Pars were had by Tineke Rogers on No. 2, Lauralee Edgell No. 8, Jani Denis on No.’s 5 and 7, Claudia Romaniuk on No. 8, Marta Williams No. 4 and Kathy Toms on No.’s 3 and 8.
Lauralee Edgell had chip-ins on No. 3 and 9.
For the 18-hole ladies group Janice Cross won low gross, Kathy White won low net with a 69. In the ball sweep Barb Sheare won KP on No. 3 and Kathy White won on No. 15. Barb Sheare had a chip-in on No. 2.
White also won the special prize.
Aerating, which was supposed to take place the week of Aug. 22, has been postponed to mid-September, according to assistant pro Brian Rand.
