Hicks takes top spot on NorAm circuit

A gold medal performance clinched top spot overall for the season on the NorAm circuit.

The Langley moguls skier led a Canadian sweep — and fourth place — of the podium at the Killington NorAm event in Vermont over the weekend.

“It’s sweet, I’m stoked, it feels like a great accomplishment, especially with so many talented guys in on the tour,” he said.

Hicks, 22, scored 25.81 to win the gold by 0.27.

By virtue of his NorAm overall title, Hicks gets an automatic spot for the World Cup finals.

He is currently ranked 16th in the World Cup standings. NorAm is one level below the World Cup.
