The largest vintage race event in Western Canada is coming to Mission Raceway.

The 28th annual B.C. Historic Motor Races (BCHMR) event, presented by the Vintage Racing Club, will run Aug. 22-23 and will feature 100 or so vintage and historic racing cars, competing across five divisions.

Returning is the Hagerty Formula Festival which will showcase open wheel and sports racing vehicles. In addition, there will be a race specifically garnered toward historic sedans and sports cars of the past.

There will also be various (non-racing) vehicles on display in a special spectator area, which will be known as “The Field of Dreams.” On top of the racing and showcase of cars, a number of sponsors’ booths, food concessions, track-side commentary and more will be on site.
