A Coastal Cup victory is the latest accomplishment in a memorable season for the Mission Hurricanes U13 girls soccer team.
The Hurricanes won the Alouette Cup district title last month, and followed that up by winning the Coastal title.
Playing in Chilliwack, the Mission squad earned a 2-0 win on goals from Mo Likness and Cameron James. Alisha Holst and Morgan Ritter picked up assists, while goalie Brooklynn Cooper notched the shutout. She did not allow a single goal during the Hurricanes’ playoff run.
“It was a strong group effort by everybody,” coach Travis James said. “The main thing is, every girl came with 100 per cent, game in and game out. It’s been exciting to be a part of.”
