Vancouver Stealth (7-9) host the Colorado Mammoth (9-7) tonight (Saturday, April 22).
The sights have been set for the Vancouver Stealth.
With two games remaining in the 2017 regular season, they are in the driver’s seat for their 2017 goal to make the playoffs.
Not only are the Stealth one win away from the post-season but with some luck, round one of the NLL Playoffs could be hosted inside the Langley Events Centre.
“It is always exciting when Colorado and Vancouver faceoff and this game could be the most important game in franchise history in Vancouver,” said Stealth play-by-play analyst Jake Elliott.
“The Stealth have been playing well at home lately and the fans have been a big part of that. I can’t wait to see what the fans have in store,” Elliott said.
Saturday is fan appreciation night, where the first thousand fans through the doors will receive a Matt Beers bobblehead.
There will be several fan giveaways including Joseph Richard Group gift cards. The Stealth team store is also offering 30 to 50 per cent off merchandise and the Stealth will be giving away two pairs of 2018 Stealth season tickets.
The game is also Blackout Night for Vancouver, where fans are encouraged to show their support and wear black Stealth gear.
The atmosphere inside the Langley Events Centre has been electric as the playoffs loom. Fans have branded Section P as the “Smallsie Section” where they have printed off signs including large cut outs of Stealth leading scorer Corey Small’s head.
“I’m not used to the publicity like I have gotten this season. It is very neat to hear about a section dedicated just to me,” he said.
“Specifically, the last few games, the fans have filled the Langley Events Centre with such energy, they have always been great but they have taken it to a whole new level and that helps us out tremendously,” Small added.
Tickets for the game are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800, or Ticket Rocket.co.
For those who cannot make it into the building, Saturday’s game can be watched on NLL TV or heard from Jake Elliott and Brad Challoner call the game on TSN Radio.
