Six teams from the Shuswap and 10 teams from Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton descended on the SASCU Memorial Indoor Arena over the weekend for a boys and girls U12 tournament on Saturday and a U13 tournament on Sunday.

In the girls U13 division the Shuswap rep team was split up to fill out the division. In the end the gold medal match was closely contested by the Shuswap Red and Green teams with the latter winning an exciting match 2-0.

Kevin Harrison, executive director of the Shuswap Youth Soccer Association was pleased with the overall level of play by all the Shuswap teams. He now turns his focus towards planning the upcoming fourth annual Family Free Footy Day on New Year’s Day.
