On Sunday, Nov. 11, Tim Hortons’ Initiation Lakers had a game against Kerry Park Islanders Initiation. It was an evenly matched battle right to the bitter end with both teams having a great time. They will be play again against Nanaimo on Sunday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 3:15 p.m. at the Lake Cowichan Sports Arena.
Initiation kids are four to six-years-old. If your child is interested in hockey, this is a great way to get them ready for the big leagues, learn about team camaraderie, sportsmanship, and most importantly how to have fun. There is still room available for this season. Registration for the 2013/14 season is in early spring. Look for registration dates in the Gazette in the new year.
