The Sooke Jaggers Over-30 women’s soccer team weren’t friendly visitors when they travelled to Oak Bay Sunday, blanking host Bays United 2-0.
Tammi Dimock scored in the first half with an assist by Heather Frazer.
The Jaggers commanded the play most of the first half. The backline played well defensively, catching Bays offside several times. The mid field played mindful and with vision, supporting strikers.
The Jaggers were determined to get a second goal in the second half.
Dimock cashed in again with a pass from Emiko Ihara.
Goalkeeper Teresa Williams, who played well throughout the contest, earned the shutout.
The Jaggers play Firday at home at Fred Milne Park. Game tme is 7 p.m.

The Fred Mile Park Rangers recorded their second tie in as many weeks Sunday with a 1-1 draw against Powell River Villa in Vanciuver Island Soccer League play.
Steve Reichheld scored for Sooke, while Colin Ballholder tallied for Powell River.
The Rangers play at home Friday, with a 7 p.m. at Fred Milne Park, beginning at 7 p.m.

Under-14 bronze boys were victorious over Cowichan in a penalty kick shoot 2-1; U14 girls lost in a shootout to Cowichan 2-1; U15 girls lost in a shootout against Saltspring and U15 boys lost 2-0 against U16 Juan de Fuca.
