The Westshore Valhallians premier women play their final BC Premier League rugby game of the regular season Saturday, April 16, hosting Seattle at the Westshore Recreation fields at 11:30 a.m.

On the men’s side, the Westshore Valhallian’s Div. 3 team competes in the Island finals Sunday, April 17 against Comox. Visit bcrugby.com for further details.

In high school rugby, it’s a West Shore senior boys’ battle when Belmont hosts Royal Bay at 3:45 p.m. on April 19. Come Thursday, April 21, Royal Bay returns to the pitch, hosting Reynolds at 3:45 p.m.

In junior boys’ rugby, April 20 takes Belmont to Esquimalt High for a 3:45 p.m. kick-off.

In senior girls’ rugby, Week 4 of the season has Belmont hosting Glenlyon Norfolk School and Esquimalt, with games at 3 p.m.

In senior girls’ soccer, Royal Bay hosts Parklands at 3:30 p.m. on April 19, before heading across town to Glenlyon Norfolk on April 21 to play at 3:45 p.m.

Senior high school badminton returns to the Westshore Tuesday, April 19, when Belmont hosts GNS at 3:45 p.m. On Thursday, April 21 Belmont heads to St. Andrews to compete at 3:45 p.m.

High school cycling takes a spin around Western Speedway April 19, when the track hosts the Road Criterium, part of the high school cycling schedule.

Turning to the baseball diamond, the Victoria Eagles Premier team is on the road this weekend, taking on the Langley Blaze in a Saturday doubleheader. Sunday takes the squad to Coquitlam to face Reds.

The Victoria Premier Mariners open league play with a Saturday double-header in White Rock before returning home Sunday, April 17 to host the Parksville Royals at Layritz Park. First pitch is at 12 p.m. with Game 2 scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. start.

Local rivals the Victoria Eagles and Victoria Mariners junior premier squads have their first match-up of the season Sunday, April 17, with a double-header starting at 11 a.m. at Henderson Park.
