The Juan de Fuca Division 3B men’s soccer team is competing in the semifinals of the 2016 George Pearkes Cup against the Vic West Casuals on the Royal Bay Turf on Sunday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
Heading into spring break, the Victoria Shamrocks invite young lacrosse players for a daycamp, March 21 to 23. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes daily instruction from Rhys Duch, Corey Small, Jesse King, Greg Harnett and other 2015 championship Shamrocks players on individual skills, team skills, player development, and game play during the half-day sessions. The Victoria Shamrocks are also joining with McDonald’s restaurants in the Westshore, Esquimalt and Sooke areas to bring a little green to their fans. Until March 21 with every purchase of a ‘Shamrocks Shake’ at any of those locations, will earn you an entry to win one of five Shamrocks jerseys.
The deadline for previous Victoria Shamrocks season ticket holders to renew their tickets is March 31 at 5 p.m., after which all remaining season tickets will be available to the public.

Looking ahead, the Westshore 1 Div. 1 men’s rugby team hosts the Port Alberni Black Sheep on Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. at the Westshore Velodrome. The Westshore 2 Div. 1 team also plays on March 19, visiting the UVic Saxons at 11:30 a.m. at Wallace Field.
The Westshore Premier women welcome Bayside to the Westshore Velodrome at 11:30 p.m. March 19, while the Westshore Div. 2 women play on Saturday, March 19 at 11:30 a.m. against the Women’s United Rugby Team at the Westshore Velodrome.
