The Victoria Shamrocks start their three-game week on Friday, July 29, when they host the Langley Thunder at The Q Centre at 7 p.m.
Following an away game in Coquitlam on Saturday, July 30, the Shamrocks return home to play at The Q Centre on Friday, Aug. 5, hosting the Nanaimo Timbermen at 7:45 p.m. in what’s sure to be a hard-fought battle.

In Premier Baseball League playoffs, the Victoria Mariners will continue to the final four this weekend in Abbotsford, playing the Okanagan Athletics tonight (July 29) before taking on the Abbotsford Cardinals and the North Shore Twins Saturday, July 30. After many games on the road, the Victoria HarbourCats return home Friday, Aug. 5 to start their three-game weekend series against the Yakima Valley Pippins. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m. at Royal Athletic Park. On Friday, Aug. 5, and Saturday, Aug. 6, they play at 6:35 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 7 they will play at 1 p.m.
Coming next week for soccer fans, the Turf Burn soccer tournament takes place at the Juan de Fuca Sports Fields Friday, Aug. 5, to Sunday, Aug. 7. The tournament features recreational co-ed division, open co-ed division, and the men’s over-30 division. The Victoria Minor Ball Hockey Association, which plays at Juan de Fuca and Eagle Ridge arenas, has wrapped up a thrilling 2016 season and is calling for photos from ball hockey seasons.
The contest seeks the photo that best captures the fun, friendship and sweat that ball hockey represents and the winning photographer will receive a 50 per cent discount on a players 2017 season registration fee. Email entries to om@vmbh.ca by 9 p.m. Saturday, July 30. The winning photo will be announced on Monday, Aug. 1.
