Brad Jones came from behind on the 18th hole to overtake Conner Kozak in a battle of Vernon teens Saturday at the Salmon Arm stop on the Zone 2 Junior Golf Tour.

Jones, of Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club, finished at even-70 to beat Kozak and Charlie Lewthwaite of Kelowna Golf & CC by one stroke.

Kozak, a Seaton student who is headed to UBC on a golf scholarship next fall, put himself in trouble off the tee, and was forced to punch out of the trees and score a bogey.

Kozak won his third Tour event of the season Sunday at Shuswap Lake Estates with a 2-over-73.

Jordan Oelrich and Jesse Pedersen, both of Kelowna, tied for second with 75s. Lewthwaite leads the Junior Tour Order of Merit just ahead of Kozak.

Kozak and Jones, a Vernon Christian School student, are in the Pacific Championships of the Future Links Tour, a four-round national event running through Sunday at the Arbutus Ridge Golf & CC near Victoria.
