The Jordan Owens Memorial Tournament returns to Langley’s Sportsplex next Thursday, March 16.
Owens, a hockey-loving boy, died of cancer on July 8, 1999.
Since then the annual tournament has been organized in his name, to celebrate the sport that he loved, demonstrate sportsmanship to young athletes, and to support other kids going through medical issues.
The tournament donates 100 per cent of its proceeds to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
The all-day tournament includes guaranteed games for H2, H3, and H4 teams, and two mini-games for H1 teams.
