The Ridge Meadows Flames continued to slide in the Pacific Junior Hockey League standings Friday, falling 7-1 to the first-place Aldergrove Kodiaks at home.
That loss came on the heels of a 4-2 defeat Tuesday to the Ice Hawks in Delta.
Friday at Planet Ice, the Flames surrendered four goals in the second period and three more in the third.
Brandon Galbraith scored the lone goal for the Flames on a powerplay late in the third. Halen Cordoni and Tristan Tressel earned assists. Jack Stradiotti stopped 31 of 38 shots.
Tuesday in Delta, The Flames fell behind 3-0 before Bradley Crompton replied. Crompton scored again early in the third, but Delta added an insurance marker a short time later.
Cordoni, Andrew Strelezki, Ryan MacDonald and Ryan Wellburn picked up assists, while Stradiotti made 26 saves.
Crompton is now fifth in league scoring, with 11 goals and 21 points in 17 games.
The Flames have now dropped six of their last nine games after a franchise-best 7-1 start, but remain third in the Harold Brittain Conference.
• The Flames play the Sockeyes in Richmond on Thursday.
