The Langley Junior Blaze rallied from four runs down and then won in extra innings against the league’s top team.
The Blaze scored twice in the sixth and twice more in the seventh to extend the game, before plating the winning run in the top of the 10th inning of a 6-5 win over the North Shore Junior Twins.
The BC Junior Premier Baseball League rivals were playing Wednesday night at North Vancouver’s Parkgate Park.
The win improved Langley to 17-10, and pulls them to within three games of the first-place Twins (19-6).
And two of North Shore’s six losses have come against Langley.
After Carson Chorpita got on base via an error, Brendan Winning drove him home with the winning run thanks to an RBI double. Winning finished the game with two triples a double, a pair of runs driven in and one run scored.
North Shore did get the tying run to third base in their half of the 10th, but could not cash him in to extend the game.
