Junior Boys beat Chase and KCS

Basketball season is underway and the teams at Clearwater Secondary School are participating fully.

The weekend before last the Senior Boys and Senior Girls played in Barriere.

The girls lost all three games in their four-team event. The boys defeated Kamloops Christian School, a team that had beaten them twice before. However, they then lost in the semi-final and the consolation final.

Also the weekend before last the Junior Girls played KCS, Chase and Barriere, but lost all three match-ups.

The Junior Boys defeated KCS and Chase. Both were close games – the one against Chase going right down to the buzzer. Clearwater scored with a few seconds left and then Chase missed a final opportunity.

Tuesday evening the Junior Boys lost to Barriere.

Playoffs for the Juniors won’t be until Feb. 10 – after exams.

 

The Seniors’ playoffs will be on Jan. 27 and 28.
