Salmon Arm outscored Vernon in three of the four quarters, but a hot shooting third enabled VSS to pull out the win. Westlee Bischoff scored 13 points and Paul Beevor-Potts hit for eight to lead the Golds.

Eleven of the Golds’ 13 players scored as the team dominated Revelstoke. Lenny DePatie and Jordan Hislop led the way with nine each and Justin Puetz chipped in with eight.

The Golds won one of three games at the St. Ann’s tournament on the weekend. Top scorers were Morgan Crandlemire, DePatie and Beevor-Potts.

The Golds will host their annual tournament this weekend at the Jackson campus. Salmon Arm tips off at 3 p.m Friday.

Prolific scorer

In Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference action Saturday, Salmon Arm’s Jordyn Rabbitt, SAIT Trojans point guard, scored 13 points.

She helped her team to overpower the Red Deer College Queens 78-47.

The Trojans’ sixth straight win, the team moves to 10 and 4, and will compete against the ACAC’s South Division frontrunners, the Mount Royal University Cougars (11-2) on Friday.
