The W.J. Mouat Hawks junior football team knocked off the Rick Hansen Hurricanes 34-6 last Thursday.
The Hawks overcame early turnover issues and built a 20-0 halftime lead. Running back Nelson Lokombo racked up 130 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries before coming out of the game. Quarterback Coleton Barker threw a touchdown pass to Dion Pellerin, and Pellerin also added two more majors on the ground. Defensive standouts were Pellerin, Cameron Tomm, Reuben Reardon and Carlos Wormald.
The Junior Hawks continue league play tonight at 5:30 p.m. against Langley Secondary at Mouat Field.
