After suffering a 3-0 defeat in their first game of the season to Vernon Secondary, the junior Jewels rebounded against Fulton last Wednesday.
The newly combined age group came together to defeat the visitors by a commanding 4-0 scoreline. After a tentative score less first 20 minutes, the flood gates opened as SAS took a scored two quick goals in succession before the half.
The Jewels started the second half where they left off, scoring two more quick goals before seeing out their first win of the season.
Senior Jewels
Last week the senior Jewels easily defeated PenHigh 7-2. Goal scorers were: Sarina Fritsche with a hat trick, Jenna Cote with a brace and Jenna Cowie and Emily Williams each added one.
Over the weekend the Jewels travel to the Island for the annual UVIC tournament. Their next regular season game is this afternoon in Kamloops.
