While the Victoria Eagles and Victoria Mariners Premier baseball teams both have the May long weekend off from league games, you can turn to the Junior Premier Eagles and Mariners teams to scratch your baseball itch.
The Victoria Junior Eagles start their weekend on the road Saturday, May 21, taking on the Coquitlam Redlegs, but return home Sunday, May 22 for a doubleheader against the Abbotsford Cardinals at Lambrick Park. Games times are scheduled for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Head to Henderson Park Saturday, May 21, when the Victoria Mariners JP hosts the Abbotsford Cardinals in a doubleheader. First pitches are slated for 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 22, brings the Whalley Chiefs for a second doubleheader at Henderson, with games at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The JP Eagles and Mariners next hit the field against each other Tuesday, May 24 for a midweek game starting at 6 p.m. at Lambrick.
Looking ahead, the Premier Eagles return to play Sunday, May 29, hosting the Nanaimo Pirates in a doubleheader at Lambrick. Games go at 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
The Mariners Premier squad travels up Island to take on the Nanaimo Pirates in a doubleheader Saturday, May 28. Come Sunday, May 29, the Ms host the Langley Blaze in a doubleheader at Henderson. Catch the games at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
From baseball to cricket, Windsor Park plays host this week to the Victoria and District Cricket Association. On Tuesday, May 24 Spinnakers plays Ross Bay at 6 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 25 the Pigs Trotters play the Stonewallers at 6 p.m.
