Junior Raiders remain unbeaten

Kelowna runs Thompson Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League record to 5-0 with wins over Vernon and Kamloops

The Kelowna Raiders will look to make it six straight wins to open the Thompson Okanagan Junior Larosse League season when they visit the Armstrong Shamrocks.

Face off Friday at Nor Val Centre is 6 p.m.

The Raiders knocked off two more victories last week, including their second of the season over the defending champion Kamloops Venom on Saturday night.

Andrew McMillan scored three goals and three assists, while Ryland Davidson and Brendan Urban each scored a hat-trick in a 14-4 win.

Scott Renner added a goal and three assists, with Tre Mason, Justin Algar (2 assists), Cody Teichroeb and Brock Embury adding single goals.

Tanner Belsham made 33 stops in the Kelowna goal.

On Thursday night at Memorial, Brendan Urban scored six times and had 10 points as the Raiders beat the Vernon Tigers 21-14.

Rylan Davidson and Patrick McMillan had six points each for Kelowna.

The Raiders (6-0) have built of a commanding lead for top spot in TOJLL. Vernon (2-1) is six points back but has three games in hand.

Senior Raiders…

After a week off, the Kelowna Raiders return to action Wednesday night when they visit the Armstrong Shamrocks in Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League action.

The Raiders are 1-2 this season.

Kelowna’s next home action is Friday, May 24 against the Rocks.
