The two girls, both 10, were some of the nearly 75 junior skaters and referees aged 7-18 who took part in Camp Pivotstar’s Junior Jawbreaker roller derby bootcamp on the weekend.

The junior derby camp was a first in Chilliwack and B.C.

The Honey Badgers has more than 50 members and is part of local adult league, NWO Roller Girls. The junior league has different derby levels (from no-hitting to full-contact) plus non-derby skating which focusses on technique and learning how to skate.

Those interested in joining the junior league can go to www.nworollergirls.com, or email nwojuniorderby@gmail.com.
