Kal Tire revs up the offence to ground Taco Bell 11-1 in their Kelowna Men’s 35+ Soccer League opener Monday night at Rutland Sports Fields.

It was close for a while, but then Kal Tire revved up the offence to ground Taco Bell 11-1 in their Kelowna Men’s 35+ Soccer League opener Monday night at Rutland Sports Fields.

Kriss Yargeau opened the scoring on a beautiful header on a cross from Tyler Johnson, and Brian Schenker scored the second Kal Tire strike on a great run. Scott Shepherd responded for Taco Bell as his shot took a suspect bounce between the legs of keeper Ryan Sharp.

After that, the tiremen rolled, with Schenker scoring twice more and Yargeau adding one. Other offence came from Rodney Goodchild (2), Duc (John) Luck (2), Jesse Knight and Tim McGowan.

Kal Tire got strong defensive play from Iain Butler, Dave Dobernigg, Mark Budgen and Rene Mailloux.
