Columbia Bible College has extended the contract of athletic director Matt Kaminski.
Kaminski, a former Bearcats volleyball player, was hired in July 2012 to take over current University of the Fraser Valley AD Rocky Olfert’s old role at the helm of the CBC athletic department.
He told The News Thursday that he’s had his contract extended through the 2013-14 season, in order to allow administrators to evaluate him in a situation where he’s got a full off-season to prepare for the school year.
The Bearcats have four teams in the PacWest collegiate league – men’s and women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball.
“I’ve really enjoyed the year,” Kaminski said. “Having the experience as an athlete (at CBC) gave me a great perspective on what they need from a director.”
