Kelowna golfer competes at Humber College PGM Classic in Surrey

Kelowna’s Madison Kapchinsky carded a pair of 80s to finish in second place in the collegiate women’s division at the Humber College PGM Classic.

One of the stops on the Maple Leaf Junior Tour last weekend in Surrey, Kapchinsky, 22, was the runner-up to Sarah Lawrence of Duvall, Wash., who finished with a 141 total.

In the collegiate men’s division, Kelowna’s Doug Skulsky (89-76) finished in sixth place.

In the juvenile boys division, Kelowna’s Philipp Kaiser finished in ninth spot with a 167 (85-82) score.

In the junior boys division, Davide Kaiser tied for seventh place.

The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played junior tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the Road to College Golf in Canada.
