Justin Evans is into the finals for the title of North America's Top Snowmobiler.

Justin Evans has hit the home stretch.

The Kelowna sledder has reached the championship round of North America’s Top Snowmobiler, an online competition produced by SnowTrax magazine and Ski Doo.

Evans is up against American Ben Hietpas in the final, with the winner to be determined by the most votes cast as of Feb. 9.

Evans was selected among thousands of applicants from across the continent to try and make their case—through a bio, videos and photos—as North America’s Top Snowmobiler.

An avid snowmobiler throughout the B.C. Interior, Evans had advanced through three rounds of the competition which began Dec. 2.

Meanwhile, Evans, the Kelowna Snowmobile Club and the Kelowna Snow Wheelers will be co-hosting a fundraiser for Central Okanagan Search and Rescue this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Valley Motor Sports in Kelowna.

The event will include a barbecue and silent auction.
