Team Morris are only one win away from a trip to the 2017 Tim Hortons Brier.

Morris and his Kelowna-Vernon rink earned an 11-6 win over Team Joanisse the page 1 vs 2 playoffs gave them a bye to Sunday’s final at the 2017 belairdirect BC Men’s Curling Championship in Abbotsford.

Meanwhile, Victoria’s Team Jackson advanced past Team McArdle in the page 3 vs 4 playoffs. A total of four steals helped them on the way to a 6-3 decision – sending them to the semis against Team Joanisse.

Team Morris, with six-time BC champion Jim Cotter from Vernon throwing last rocks and John Morris from Alberta calling the shots, also includes Kelowna’s Tyrel Griffith (four-time BC Men’s champion) and Rick Sawatsky (six-time BC Men’s champion), also from Kelowna.

The final takes place at 4 p.m. this afternoon.
