Kelowna, W. Kelowna home to two provincial hockey tournaments this spring break

Midget tier 2 and bantam tier 2 tournaments taking place at local rinks

Two B.C. Hockey provincial championships will be contested in the Central Okanagan during the second week of spring break.

At Royal LePage Place in West Kelowna, eight teams, including the host Warriors, will play for the B.C. midget tier 2 title.

Action begins this Sunday at 10 a.m. with Cranbrook taking on Aldergove.

West Kelowna’s first game will be 8 p.m. Sunday against Greater Trail.

The final will be played Wednesday, March 20 at 8 p.m.

Kelowna Minor Hockey will host the B.C. bantam tier 2 championship from March 17 to 20 at the Capital News Centre.

Kelowna and West Kelowna will both have teams competing in the nine-team tournament.

Kelowna opens play Sunday at 11 a.m. against Langley, while West Kelowna takes on Fort St. John at 2 p.m.

The final will be played at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at CNC.
