Keremeos Bantam hockey player wins sportsmanship award

Alex Helm had a very successful hockey season with his Bantam team mates.

Alex Helm was awarded the Bantam Sportsmanship award for his play as a hockey forward in bantam leagues this season.

The Keremeos 13 year old, who plays in a league in the Oliver- Osoyoos area, won the Sportsman’s trophy (similar to the NHL’s Art Ross Trophy) for gentlemanly play.

Alex also won accolades for the having the best offensive capabilitiies on the team. As captain, he was the leading scorer as well.

 

“He had a really good season,” said his dad, Brian Helm.
