KIJHL: Nitehawks double Leafs 4-2

Beaver Valley's fifth straight win puts them three points ahead of Nelson.

Tyler Hartman scored twice as the Beaver Valley Nitehawks defeated the Nelson Leafs 4-2 on Friday in Fruitvale.

Dylan Heppler, with a short-handed goal, and Aiden Browell also scored for the Nitehawks (8-3-2), who won their fifth in a row to move three points ahead of Nelson atop the Neil Murdoch Division.

Dale Howell and Ryan Piva replied for Nelson (7-5-1) in the third period.

Beaver Valley goaltender Tallon Kramer made 24 saves for the win, while at the other end of the ice Devin Allen finished with 31 saves of his own.

Leaflets: The Leafs traded G Josh Bolding and F Spencer Selby to the Sicamous Eagles for future considerations. Nelson also signed D Noah Looman after he was released from a Junior A team in Saskatchewan.
