Proving that shots on goal pay off, the Aldergrove Kodiaks maintained their win streak with a 5-2 win over the visiting Ridge Meadows Flames Wednesday night.
The win puts the Kodiaks well in first place in the Pacific Junior Hockey League with 40 points after 25 games, and the most wins (20) and fewest losses (5).

The Kodiaks are seven points ahead of the Abbotsford Pilots in the Harold Brittain conference and six points ahead of the Tom Shaw conference leaders, the Grandview Steelers.
The Kodiaks outshot the Flames in every period for a game total of 38-27,

Assists came from Matt Oliver (2), Kurt Klimek, Jacob De Waal, Joshua Poitras, Cameron Davitt (2), Ryleigh Anderson, Ryan Martel, and Callegari.
The Flames scored on two of seven power plays while Vilio scored the only Kodiaks power play goal out of five.
