The Credo Christian Kodiaks had a great start in Saturday night’s Fraser Valley senior girls A championship game at Credo Christian High School.
But they couldn’t hold off the White Rock Christian Academy Warriors, who reeled off three straight set victories to take the title.
Credo won the first set 25-21; then White Rock Christian won the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-14, and 25-4.
“I’m proud of how they played, and they kept up the fight until the very end,” Kodiaks coach Marika Togeretz said. “It was a great game to watch and to coach. We were disappointed with the last set, but overall they (the Credo girls) fought really hard.”
Credo Christian all-stars were Caitlin Sikma and Michaela Devries.
The Kodiaks are now the second-ranked Fraser Valley team heading to provincials in Kelowna Dec. 1 to 3.
