Kodiaks shut out Jr. B Flames

The reigning Jr. B league champion Aldergrove Kodiaks mauled the Ridge Meadows Flames 4-0 on Wednesday.

The reigning Jr. B league champion Aldergrove Kodiaks mauled the Ridge Meadows Flames 4-0 on Wednesday.

It was Aldergrove’s first win in three outings, and their rookie goaltender, Griffin Baillie, recorded the shutout, perfect on 27 shots.

For the Flames, Kurt Klimek got his first start of the new Pacific Junior Hockey League season, stopping 44 of 48 shots.

The two teams now share first place in the Harold Brittain Conference with four points in three games.

The Flames had two wins to start the season, which continues tonight at Planet Ice. The Flames will host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack at 7:30 p.m.   On Sunday they will be at the Burnaby Winter Club to host the Grandview Steelers.
