Koot-Neigh vaults to top at provincials

The local team is back from the BC Provincial Equestrian Vaulting Championships in Langley.

Koot-Neigh Vaulters are back from the BC Provincial Equestrian Vaulting Championships in Langley. Nelson’s team came home with impressive placings all the way from walk fundamentals to AA canter.

Highlights include top three placings in Canter B (Noor Lammers), Canter D (Ella Gotzy), Trot C (Cloe Comstock), and Walk B (Cloe Comstock and Gwen McCrory). Noor Lammers is the new provincial champion, and Ella Gotzy the new zone champion. The walk team — Lammers, Gotzy, Korynn Weber, Indigo Bowick, Gwen McCrory, and Cloe Comstock delivered two clean, technical and creative rounds, earning first place. Priya Comstock, the team’s youngest competitor at age five and on her first vaulting road trip, was very pleased with her first place ribbon and prize. The team’s upper level horse Azrael won Best Canter Horse.

Thanks to all the hard work of vaulters, parent volunteers, horses and coaches, the event was very successful and fun. Congratulations to all for your efforts and teamwork.
