Matt Kreutz of Vernon was in a six-way share of 28th spot after three rounds in the B.C. Junior Boys Golf Championship (presented by Canadian Direct Insurance) at the Park Meadows Course at the Osoyoos Golf Club.
Kreutz carded a 6-over 78 Thursday after shooting 72 and 70. The final round goes today. Kreutz made the 36-hole cut in the field of 141.
Vernon’s Jared Larsen just missed the 153 cut with rounds of 75-81-156.
Seventeen-year-old Zaahidali (Ziggy) Nathu of Richmond (Quilchena) had the round of his life Wednesday with a 65 and then added a 66 Thursday to take a five-stroke lead into Friday. Nathu opened with a 70.
Sitting in second place after 54 holes were Jake Scarrow of Dewdney (Lab @ Northview) and Callum Davison of Duncan (Pheasant Glen). Scarrow shot a 63 for Thursday’s low round, while Davison produced a 64.
Scarrow produced 71-71, while Davison garnered 74-68 in their opening 18s.
Seymour Golf & Country Club’s Roy Kang, who shot an afternoon round of (-6) 66 to move to within three strokes of Nathu.
