We had a big turnout for Ladies Night on Sept. 6 thanks to the five ladies from Barriere who played and stayed for dinner.
The weather cooperated and it was a fun game of “Fairways and Greens”. For each fairway you hit on your Tee shot you get five points, then you subtract one point for each putt it took to put the ball in the cup.
The golfer with the highest number of points wins. The winners are: flight one—Susan Mitchell got FandG (nine points) and long drive in two; Debbie Pearce had low net, long drive and long putt; Tanya Desjarlais had low gross.
Flight two—Leslie Sterling got F and G (15 points); Larissa Hadley had low gross, long putt and long drive; Joan Slingsby and Madeline Klassen tied for low net; Joan Slingsby had the lonly KP on five; Babes Shanko had long drive in two.
Flight three—Hazel Wadlegger had F and G (10 points) and long drive; Val Williams had low gross; Kay Knox had long putt and long drive in two. Madeline K had Long Putt All, Tanya D. had least number of putts and Carol McNeil was the Most Honest Putter.
Joan Slingsby and Deb Rainer were the Middle Sisters. Tanya, Deanna Pendergast, Deb P. and Leslie S. shared the Chip In Pot and Tanya and Deanna shared the Birdie Pot; the door prize winners were Deb R. who chose the head band, Abbey Bates chose the rain cover and Madeline chose the bath set.
All prizes were donated by a club member. Carol Mc. won the special draw of the gift certificate from The Painted Turtle.
