Thirty-eight ladies took to the links on Tuesday night for a regular round of golf. The weather was lovely and the company was great. Sometimes I think I should skip the golf and just come for the food and fun. Dinner was excellent – only wish I could say the same for my golf.
Flight #1 winners were Carol Hindle (low gross) with a score of 45 and Karen Peterson (low net). Flight #2 winners were Susan Newberry (low gross) with a score of 48 which she mentioned was her best score EVER and Vicki Hoffer (low net). The Flight #3 low gross winner was Erin Mitchell with a score of 54. Susan Newberry continued her lucrative winning ways with a birdie on Hole #1.
Kaleigh Stankevich was back to visit and won the Barriere A&W prize for Flight #3 long drive on Hole #1. Marion Wallace won’t be going hungry as she won two prizes – for a long drive in 2 on Hole #4 (Station House Restaurant) and a long putt on #1 (Knights’ Inn). The Lebourdais ladies did well. Sandy had a long drive in 2 on Hole #2 (Barr K Treats) while Sunny had a KP on Hole #4 (Royal LePage) and another KP on Hole #6 (Ron Wallace Trucking). Emma Allen nailed a long putt on Hole #3 to win the Barriere Irly Centre. Deb Legaree had a KP on Hole #4 to take the Stamer Logging prize while Irene Beeton took the River Adventure Co. prize for her KP on the same hole.
Barb Kavanagh won two prizes – one from Jul’re by Lynda for a long putt on Hole #5 and one from Carman and Barb Smith for her KP on Hole #6. Two other long putt prizes on Hole #5 went to Debbie Rainer (Barriere Massage) and Betty Baillie (Country Store Antiques). Sharon Spooner had the Flight #3 KP on Hole #6 to win the Carl’s Market Garden prize. Trudy Scarlett got closest to the pin with her second shot on Hole #7 to win the Rainer Custom Cutting certificate. Wanda Amos has the long putt on Hole #8 to win the Star Journal certificate. Long drives on Hole #9 were made by Susan Mitchell (Val-Bella Studio), Vicki Hoffer (Estylo Hair Design) and Marion Lodge (AG Foods). Marion was wishing she had had the same drive on #7. She and two other ladies won balls, tees and markers courtesy of North Thompson Funeral Home for going in the gully. I have always said if you are going to do something, do it well.
Bonnie Timmons (nee LeCerf) took the most putts honour with a record high of 32. She took the ribbing extremely well. Good to see you, Bonnie.
