Ladies’ Golf Results

We had another beautiful day at the Fernie Golf and Country Club for this week’s Ladies’ Day Golf.  We had 25 ladies out to join us in Fernie for a round of golf.   We hope everyone had some fun and enjoyed some camaraderie with some other golfers.

August 18, 2015 Regular Event:  Flighted Low Net from the Red Tees

Please note that August 25 is the last day this season Gross Quota Points will be played.  Also, note that starting next spring Gross Quota point play will pay out 1/3 of the field of players playing on any given day.

Thanks goes out to the Ladies’ Day Season sponsors including:  Fernie Chiropractic and Overwaitea, their sponsorship helps us run our weekly events.  And thanks to Ray and his super grounds crew, our course is in great shape and we still have over a month of play at the Fernie Golf and Country Club  to enjoy it.

Registration is open for the Fernie Ladies Open and Golf Fore the Cure being held September 8th.  Registration deadline for both is September 1, 2015. Please call (250-423-7773) or stop by the proshop to register.  If you are registering for the two person best ball, please indicate your partner.  Payment is due at time of registration.

Fernie Ladies Open: Cost for members is $50.00 and for non-members is $65.00.  Format is individual stroke play or two person best ball or add $5.00 and play both.  Optional Golf Fore the Cure Event add $10.00.  Dinner only option is available for $25.00.  Prizes for Individual Low Gross & Low Net and Team Low Gross & Low Net, Phylis Buchan Memorial Trophy (Senior Low Net) are all up for grabs.  Check in day of event is 11am, shot gun start at noon.  Dinner and Prizes at 5:30 with Golf Fore the Cure fun Carnival starting at 6:30.

Golf Fore the Cure Silent Auction will be open from noon to 8pm.  Bid on items to help support Golf Fore the Cure.

For those wishing only to participate in Golf Fore the Cure carnival, register for dinner at a cost of $25.00, to be served at 5:30PM.  Format is fun golf carnival events.  Buy only as many tickets as the number of events you want to play.  Tickets may be purchased for $1 each and the more events you participate in the chances you have to win a prize.   If you want your own team for Golf Fore the Cure, please contact Beth Field (dkerfield@gmail.com).

Donations sheets for Breast Cancer Research are also available in the Pro Shop.

Finally, please save the date Sunday, September 20, 2015 for the Ladies Closing Special.  Shotgun will be at 4pm with check in at 3:30pm.  Registration and final event details will be available soon
