What a gorgeous day we had at the Fernie Golf and Country Club for this week’s Ladies’ Day Golf.  We had 20 ladies join us throughout the day in Fernie for a round of golf, while 5 of our regular players were away at the Elkford Mountain Meadows Ladies Open Tournament.  We hope everyone had some fun where ever they had the chance to play.

Congratulations to the following Fernie players that ranked in the Elkford Mountain Meadows Ladies Open Tournament:  Jill Snell (1st low net 2nd flight ), Karen Lozza (2nd low net second flight) and Anita Mitchell (1st low 5th flight).

Keep the date open, the Fernie Ladies Open and Golf Fore the Cure here September 8th.  Registration deadline for both is September 1, 2015. Please call (250-423-7773) or stop by the proshop to register.  If you are playing best ball, please indicate your partner.  Payment is due at time of registration.

Fernie Ladies Open: Cost for members is $50.00 and for non-members is $65.00.  Format is individual stroke play or two person best ball or add $5.00 and play both.  Optional Golf Fore the Cure Event add $10.00.  Dinner only option is available for $25.00.  Prizes for Individual Low Gross & Low Net and Team Low Gross & Low Net, Phylis Buchan Memorial Trophy (Senior Low Net) are all up for grabs.  Check in day of event is 11am, shot gun start at noon.  Dinner and Prizes at 5:30 with Golf Fore the Cure fun Carnival starting at 6:30.

Golf Fore the Cure Silent Auction will be open from noon to 8pm.  Bid on items to help support Golf Fore the Cure.

For those wishing only to participate in Golf Fore the Cure carnival, register for dinner at a cost of $25.00, to be served at 5:30PM.  Format is fun golf carnival events.  Buy only as many tickets as the number of events you want to play.  Tickets may be purchased for $1 each and the more events you participate in the more chances you have to win a prize.   Donations sheets for Breast Cancer Research are available in the Pro Shop.

And thanks to Ray and all his hard working grounds crew our course will be looking great and playing better than ever for the events.
