Lady golfers hold “Four Club Day”

The 14 women to participate had to choose the four clubs they thought would serve them best

May 19 was “Four Club Day” for the ladies golfing in the weekly Lacarya Ladies’ Golf Club.

The 14 women to participate had to choose the four clubs they thought would serve them best when playing the nine-hole challenge.

In Flight 1, Carol Hindle seems to have chosen well. She won a gift certificate from Century 21 for her low gross score and a cash prize for KP on hole #5. Madeline Klassen won a gift certificate from Home Hardware for her low net score. Cash prizes were won by Debbie Pearce for her long drive and long drive in two shots and by Joan Slingsby for long putt.

In Flight 2 Jan Johnston won a gift certificate from Pharmasave for low gross and Sheila Colter won a gift certificate from Buy Low for low net. Sheila also won cash prizes for long drive and long drive in two. Jane Olson won a cash prize for long putt.

Other cash prizes went to Debbie Pearce for KP on #7 and Jan Johnson for least putts. Madeline and Jan both had only 12 putts but Jan won by retrogression. Linda Fitz won for being the “Most Honest Putter.” And finally, Eva Gebert and Teri Pelton won golf balls to replace the balls RIP in the pond on hole #4.
