The Pen High 10s junior girls placed fifth in the Best of the West volleyball tournament in Kelowna last weekend.
The Lakers played the Kelowna Christian Knights in their final match. After winning the first set easily, the Lakers lost the second set. Coach Scott Harkness then watched his team rally in the third set to pick up the win. The Lakers placed second in their power pool after defeating the Mt. Boucherie Bears, then lost to Vernon Secondary Panthers and ended pool play with a win over the Kalamalka Lakers from Vernon. In their quarterfinal match, the Lakers lost to the Seaton Sonics.
This weekend the team will play in the UBC-O tournament.
