Langley’s Marla Mallett will lead her Team BC into the Scotties Tournament of Hearts, as the roster of teams for the national bonspiel has been finalized.
The tournament takes place Feb. 18 to 26 in St. Catharines, Ont. at the Meridian Centre.
The defending Team Canada squad is skipped by Calgary’s Chelsea Carey. Each province and territory will also send a rink.
Mallett’s team of Shannon Aleksic, Brette Richards, and Blaine de Jager, come from the Lower Mainland and the Interior, and had barely played together before taking the B.C. title. However all are experienced curlers with high-level competition experience.
