The Langley Knights are currently riding a three-game win streak.
Langley’s junior B hockey team defeated the Delta Ice Hawks 6-3 Tuesday in Ladner.
The win improved the Knights’ record to 18-14-1-1 and vaulted them past the Aldergrove Kodiaks and into top spot in the Pacific Junior Hockey League’s Harold Brittain Conference, however, the Kodiaks (15-10-2-5) host the Richmond Sockeyes tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 8) at Aldergrove Arena.
Most of the damage on Tuesday was done in the second period, with the visitors outscoring the Ice Hawks 4-1 to take control of the game.
The teams exchanged two goals each in the final frame.
The Ice Hawks had five affiliate players in their lineup.
In a balanced attack, six Knights players scored goals with Issiah Piers, Colin Catchpole, Nicolas Bizzutto, Alex Kalau, Donovan Shambeau, and Carson Rose all finding the net.
Blake Gorrill and Oliver Alcock picked up two assists apiece.
The Knights outshot the Ice Hawks 39-29.
The Knights host the North Vancouver Wolf Pack this Thursday, Jan. 8 at the George Preston Recreation Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
