The Christmas break ends Wednesday for the Langley Rivermen.
After a week-and-a-half off, the Rivermen return to the ice Dec. 30 when they visit Chilliwack’s Prospera Centre to play the Chiefs. Game time is 7 p.m.
The B.C. Hockey League game between the two Mainland Division rivals feature two of the league’s strongest teams.
Langley sits third in the Mainland Division with a 21-13-0-1 record, while Chilliwack leads the division with an impressive 23-7-3-1 mark.
The Rivermen are back on home ice Sunday afternoon, Jan. 3, when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings at the Langley Events Centre. Opening puck drop is 3 p.m.
After that, the ’Men play their next four games on the road against Chilliwack (Jan. 6), Cowichan Valley (Jan. 9), Victoria (Jan. 10), and Coquitlam (Jan. 15).
The Rivermen were riding a three-game win streak going into Christmas break and were 4-1-1 in December.
