Jan. 4 saw Clearwater novice Icehawks play against the 100 Mile House Wranglers. The ice is split into two sections so two games go on at the same time. This makes it too difficult to keep any score, but those kids are playing and developing their skills just the same.

The Clearwater atom Icehawks played against 100 Mile House Wranglers again on Jan. 5 for two games. Although the team was defeated 9-4 each game, they showed some great gamesmanship.

Icetime through the holidays

An entertaining game by the Clearwater Minor Hockey alumni was moved up a day to Dec. 27 so there would be goalies available and some past Clearwater minor hockey players dusted off their skills and got out there for fun and intense competition.

The teams put on white or black sweaters and did not keep a proper score, but the match showed just how good our hockey program has been throughout the years.

The featured player this week is Brendan Hall. Hall is 7-years-old and plays as number four on the Clearwater novice Icehawks. Hall has been playing for two years. He loves playing Canada’s game with his friends. Hall also likes practicing his skills turning and stopping on the ice, and always has a great time. His favourite player is Elias Petterson of the Vancouver Canucks.
