Legends place fourth

The Legends lost 2-1 in overtime to the Rockyview Rage of Calgary in the bronze medal game at the lacrosse tournament at Kal Tire Place.

The North Okanagan A2 Bercum Builders Legends lost 2-1 in overtime to the Rockyview Rage of Calgary in the bronze medal game at the Rock the House Pee Wee lacrosse tournament at Kal Tire Place.

Scoreless after one, Rockyview broke the ice in the second, which was quickly tied by Legends’ captain Braeden McAmmond.

After a scoreless third, they headed into sudden death overtime where Rockyview sniped one off a faceoff.

The top-ranked Surrey Rebels downed the Legends 4-3 in the final round-robin game.

McAmmond opened the scoring for the Legends before the Rebels scored four unanswered goals.

The Legends made it close with goals from Liam Cyr and Ethan Harshenin. Owen McKill, Tanner Witt and McAmmond picked up helpers.

The Legends downed the New Westminster Salmonbellies 7-2 in the second game of the tourney.

The Legends received great performances from McAmmond with 2+2, McKill added 1+1, Brayden Norlin sniping his first of the season and Harshenin with a single.

The Legends tied the North Delta Whalers 4-4 in the opening match.

Lucas Zubrod, Jacob Defeo, Witt and McAmmond all sniped singles for the Legends, with assists going to Quin Williamson and Levi VanderDeen.

Legends’ net detective Rhys DeFehr was solid all weekend and was named MVP. Other MVP’s for the tourney were McAmmond, Harshenin and Cyr.

Legends exit with a bang

The R Xtra Storage Novice 2 Legends wrapped up their season in style as they belted Nicola Valley 16-2 in Merritt.

Devin Jameson’s sniped five goals and William Puetter pulled the hat trick.

Griffin Morrier and Nate Benn scored a pair each, while Seth Burton, Bradley Scarbar and Jesse Godwin added singles.

Aiden Lawrence was stellar in net and was MVP.
