It was a big weekend for Brittany Britz, Shaelyn Peachey and Michaela Witte, as all three girls were part of helping the North Island Girls all-star team earn a victory at the Island Senior Basketball Classic.
For only the third time in the history of the tournament, the North Island came away victorious by a score of 71-65.
All three Parksville Qualicum Beach girls were part of the victory after being named to the North Island All-Star team a few weeks ago.
This also marked the first time that the North Island swept all three games, with the North Island Boys teams winning both the A and B games as well.
This marks the final game for all three girls, Britz and Peachey from Ballenas and Witte from KSS, at the high school level.
For each of them, they will be looking to continue on their basketball careers at the University level.
Britz and Peachey closed out a fantastic season with the Whalers senior girls team which saw them come up just shy of making the provincials for the third year in a row.
Witte will be looking to continue her basketball career at the next level, along with Britz and Peachey, as she looks to cement herself on the radar of Camosun College during their ID camp this upcoming weekend.
