The North Island Wild Ravens field lacrosse team, which includes six Comox Valley boys, has won the regular season.

They defeated Pac Rim from Victoria 14-5, then tied them 8-8 in the last two regular season games. While Campbell River provides superb goaltending and defensive players, the Comox boys get the majority of the goals, with Brady Garrett and Tanner Jones each notching five goals in the first game and Jordan Balon getting a hat trick in the second.

Graham Evans has the most assists on the team, generally setting up shop behind the net and finding the cutting attackers, while Jonah Armstrong leads the team in broken bones (his, not the opposition’s).

The team will welcome Sam Kussauer and Armstrong back to the lineup when they face Oceanside in the first round of the playoffs at the end of January. The Wild Ravens’ goal is to qualify for the Provincials in Burnaby in February.
