Errki Keski-Salmi, a patriarch of the Larch Hills Nordic Society and father of acclaimed Nordic skier Reino Keski-Salmi, died in hospital July 11 as a result of an accident. He was 79.
Keski-Salmi was one of the founding members of the Larch Hills Ski Club and never missed participating in the loppet, which was named as a memorial to his son. There will be a memorial service Thursday, July 19 at 11 a.m. at the Bowers Funeral Chapel.
